Waltz With Desire

Written by: Victor Swift

The moon creeps through my blinds
Casting still silhouettes
Upon the canvas of my walls, which
With the whispering, wind begin to waltz
I soon become entranced
The grace, the fluid painting
Of the movements beg my soul
To break the shackles keeping me tied down

I need out
The box I'm in
Is slowly shrinking
Let’s end this now
I've had enough
I can’t stop dreaming of sleep

The air is delicate
The symphony begins,
The smallest sounds that tend to hide remove their veil
And come alive at night
Rising above the creaks
The clock repeats itself,
Tapping ticks impatiently reminding me of everything I am

I need out
The box I'm in
Is slowly shrinking
Let’s end this now
I've had enough
I can’t stop dreaming of sleep

Born in a noose, in which objects seduce,
We are conditioned to produce, but we need to be cut loose
Once and for all
Once and for all

Cause we're born to dream yet we've lost all our steam,
We must rewrite our routine, and take apart the machine
Once and for all
Once and for all

I need out
The box I'm in
Is slowly shrinking
Let’s end this now
I've had enough
I can’t stop dreaming of sleep
